Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is known for its rich cultural heritage, ancient temples, and beautiful landscapes. Our guide takes you to the Swayambhunath & Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square for sightseeing. Pashupatinath Temple is a profound place to capture the cycle of life. Kathmandu sightseeing trip covers major historical, and cultural monuments that beautifully crafted with various wood, metal, and stonework. You can capture variety of picture during Kathmandu city tour including architecture, street, portrait, palaces, temple etc. After city tours, we will drive back to hotel. You spent rest of the time at hotel or explore around Thamel.

This day we will leave Kathmandu and head to beautiful city Pokhara. The primary route is the Prithvi highway, which is about 200 kilometers long take anywhere from six to 7 hours. While the distance might seem short, the road is very winding and can be slow due to traffic, narrow sections, and sometimes roadworks.

The first half part of drive, follows right alongside the rushing Trishuli river. You’ll often see rafters navigating the rapids and get some lovely views of water. After crossing the Trishuli river road follow the Marshyangdi river valley.

As you climb higher into the hills, the scenery changes to terraced rice paddies, small traditional villages, and of course, glimpses of the majestic Himalayan peaks on a clear day. Finally scenic drive takes you to tranquil city of Pokhara. Evening walk around lake side to see the sunset, reflection of Annapurna range in the calm waters of Phewa lake.

Driving from Pokhara to Kagbeni is an epic journey that takes you deep into the Himalayas. The road distance is about 175 kilometers, but travel time is quite long around 5 to 7 hours because of narrow windy road, mostly paved.
You’ll start in the lush Pokhara valley with stunning views, then follow the Kali Gandaki River, which carves its way through the deepest gorge in the world between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs.
As you continue, the scenery changes into the arid, high-altitude desert landscape of the Mustang region. You’ll pass through charming villages like Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs, and Marpha, famous for its apple orchards and white-washed houses of Thakali people.
After deepest gorge you enter Ghasa, which marks the entrance of Mustang region. The scenery here becomes more dramatic as you’re surrounded by towering cliffs. Kalopani is a key stop for spectacular panoramic views of both the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs, and it’s a great place to experience the unique Thakali culture. We will stop in different location for photography and enjoy the scenery on the way to Kagbeni.

Muktinath temple visit is the main goal of this morning. After exploring temple, monastery and rani pauwa of muktinith we drive back to Jharkot village for excursion around. Jharkot is an old village wort to explore for different types of photography. After lower mustang tour we will enter walled kingdom crossing the Jhong khola.
Driving towards upper mustang the landscape changes dramatically into a high-altitude desert. The road winds along the Kali Gandaki Valley, offering stunning views of dramatic red cliffs and unique rock formations.
You’ll pass through Tangbe, known for its distinctive white-washed houses, and then Chhusang, situated at the confluence of rivers. Tetang is a bit off the main trail, known for its terraced fields and traditional lifestyle, while Chele marks the entrance to the upper region.

Finally, we reach Samar village to spend the night. First day in Last Forbidden Kingdom” or “Mini Tibet,” is one of the most photogenic experiences in the Himalayas. You will get an opportunity to capture plenty of photograph of believable landscape, culture, people and daily life of Local.

Today’s tour takes you to the major land of Lowa people in kingdom of lo. Driving distance from Samar to Lo Manthang is kilometers and takes time 5 to 8 hours including exploration. On the way we will visit Syangboche,Ghiling, Ghami, Dhakmar and marang villages. Each village adored with monastery, chorten, prayer flags and Tibetan style houses. All these places showcase the rich culture and stark beauty that make upper mustang so special. The longest mani wall in Nepal, ancient Khorak chorten, the striking red cliffs of Dhakmar are really amazing for photography and sightseeing. The red cliffs of Dhakmar are truly a sight to behold, getting their striking color from the rich mineral deposits and iron oxidation in the sandstone.
After Dhakmar, you’ll reach Lo Gekar Monastery. It is known as Ghar Gompa, one of the oldest in mustang region and holds great spiritual significance. It is said to have been built by Padmasambhava to subdue harmful local spirits, and inside, you’ll find ancient murals and statues that have been preserved for centuries.
Marang village is a quiet, traditional settlement along the route, offers charm glimpse into the daily agricultural lifestyle of the region. Visitors are often struck by its peaceful atmosphere and the traditional stone houses that blend into the stark landscape.
After exploring all this sites, we reach Lo Manthang and start daily life documentation there in the evening hours. “Photograph the earth in its purest color.” Traditional attire, monks, elderly locals in wall city and around. Today is the day to capture the pictures of beautiful chooser valley, cave monastery, Sky Caves and the ruins of cave civilization. Short drive to Chhoser reveals the mysterious sky caves, ancient dwellings carved into cliff faces thousands of years ago. We cover Chhonup, Thingar, Chumjum the last village and Namgyal Monastery as well and “Capture Living Tibetan Heritage.”

Full day in Lo Manthang is a photographer’s dream. Spend your time exploring its narrow alleys, capturing the intricate murals inside the 3 main monasteries (Jampa, Thubchen, Chode) royal palace, Buddhist murals, chortens and portraits of Loba people. Photography inside the ancient monasteries of Lo Manthang possible with extra ticket of US$ 150 per person. Today’s drive takes you through the heart of Mustang’s strange landscape. The distance from Lo Manthang to Luri cave monastery is 35 kilometers only, takes time around 3 hours. The villages along the way, like Surkhang, Yara and Ghara are characterized by their traditional Tibetan-style clustered homes, flat roofs and a lifestyle closely tied to animal husbandry and local farming. Tsarang to Luri Gumba section of journey takes you through some exceptionally rugged and remote terrain. The road condition is quite challenging, unpaved dirt track that winds through deep canyons and dry riverbeds but offers incredibly nice experience.

Golden hours of this morning spend to capture the pictures of Tsarang, fortresses architecture, chortens, red gompa, traditional weaving and villages life etc. After breakfast drive to famous Thakali village Marpha. Off-road jeep drive through eroded canyon formations, narrow alleys, mud houses, monks, river valley, red cliffs of Chhusang, Kali Gandaki valley to reach Marpha. The light in late afternoon is perfect for photography in Marpha village as well to capture its unique sights. This is long day drive but visually rewarding. You will retrace your route, but the changing angle of the sun offers new perspectives on familiar landscapes.

Today we witness some of the Himalayas most recognizable sights. Return journey via same scenic route, capturing the ever-changing light on the canyons and villages provides great pictures again. Marpha to Ghorepani distance is around 65 kilometers, takes time 3 to 4 hours depends on the road condition and traffic. Marpha to Tatopani descent down, after that we leave Kali Gandaki valley and driving upwards to Ghorepani.
Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque villages, mountain ranges, forested areas, see the famous Rupse Waterfall, deepest gorges in the world and you might even want to make a stop at Tatopani to relax in the natural hot springs. the road conditions in nice, mostly paved, some difficult landslide sections unpaved, 4WD vehicle is essential for entire adventure.
Moving above Tatopani toward Ghorepani, the landscape, culture, and path change significantly. You’ll pass through villages like Ghara and Shikha, which are home primarily to the Magar people. They are well known for their warm hospitality and rich cultural traditions. Overnight at hotel.

This morning we wake up early and drive to Sarangkot to capture the sunrise view over the Annapurna range of Himalayas. This is classic photography spot, so arrive early to secure a good location.
Glimpser of the first rays of sun ignite in the peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, turning them from soft pink to blazing gold. The view of mountains floating above the valley fog is simply magical. After sunrise view, back to the hotel for breakfast and continue for Pokhara sightseeing, evening flight back to Kathmandu.
